Windy Hill

Windy Hill is located on the west side of the Choptank River above Choptank and below Lloyd Landing at the end of Windy Hill Road in Talbot County. When the steamers Joppa and Avalon were replaced by the larger Talbot and Dorchester in 1921, they were too large to pass the Dover Bridge and service only went as far as Windy Hill. Windy Hill served as a steamboat landing at least until 1924.
