The 1875 Isler Map of Caroline County shows a steam sawmill (SSM) in West Denton near the bridge.  This may be the Allaband sawmill.  A grist mill (GM) was shown north of Saulsbury’ Branch just north of Denton.  Neither mill appears in the 1897 Saulsbury map of the county.
