Join the Leverton Hubbard Foundation on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 from 5 PM – 7 PM for a guided Twilight Walk in the Footsteps of Freedom Seekers! Experience history through documented stories and folklore as you enjoy a beautiful evening stroll along the path that freedom seekers took from Linchester Mill’s Pond to the Leverton House.
The walk will finish at the Jacob Leverton House, described by historians as the main stopping place of the Underground Railroad in the area. The home has been verified as a stop that Harriet Tubman used several times as she helped many to freedom.
The evening will finish with a nice fireside chat with mulled-wine, refreshments, and guest speaker Steven Saint-Armor.
Cost: $25 per person Note: Limited to the first 20 reservations
Starting point for the tour is: Historic Linchester Mill, 3390 Linchester Rd, Preston, MD 21655

I just walked the Linchester Mill Pond Trail.. I was seeking where to share kudos to the community. Extremely peaceful and enchanting. This came up first on search.
Now my mind is inquiry if Tubman’s routes did in fact pass through Linchester Mill.
Thank you to whoever established the trail head. I am in support and willing to volunteer for maintenance..
